Job description

We’re working with a major food manufacturer who have an opening in their maintenance team for an electrical engineer. Part of a wider group, the site produces a range of branded and retailer label products and you’d be joining an established business offering plenty of opportunities for development and progression.

About the Role:

Working as part of a busy, supporting engineering team, you will be supporting site performance through proactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement of machinery and production lines.

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of food production and packaging equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults quickly and safely to minimise downtime.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and performance.
  • Working closely with production teams to advise on equipment and engineering issues to improve efficiencies.
  • Maintaining accurate records using the site’s CMMS.

About You:

  • Apprentice trained, time-served Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience of planned/reactive maintenance roles in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally food, but not essential).
  • Confident with fault finding on PLCs.
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards, including safe isolation, permit to work, and COSHH.
  • Proactive approach, able to adapt quickly to changing demands and support the wider team.
