Electrical Engineer

Yolk Recruitment is actively working with a world-leading specialist manufacturer in Pontypool, experiencing exponential growth. With significant investment planned for 2025, they are seeking an Electrically Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Role Overview

This position involves working a 3-shift pattern (Mornings/Afternoons/Nights) in a busy manufacturing environment, focusing on machinery breakdowns and upgrades.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing equipment according to schedules and specifications to ensure reliability and minimize breakdowns.
  • Testing, fault finding, and repairing equipment.
  • Identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective actions through root cause analysis.
  • Completing machine installation and commissioning.
  • Fault finding on PLC systems, including Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley.
  • Maintaining tools and repair equipment for optimal condition.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities on site.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or HNC equivalent.
  • Apprentice-trained, time-served Multiskilled Engineer.

Benefits

Competitive salary up to £43,000, with benefits and potential to increase to £46,000 through competency-based training. Opportunities for career development and further education are available.
