Build Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Facilities Maintenance Engineer in Cardiff on a permanent full-time basis. The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, alternating days and nights with a base salary of £43,306.64 plus a £2,500 shift allowance, plus extensive benefits.

The candidate will perform PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supervise subcontractors while maintaining strong client relationships across a busy site.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition (essential).
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or completed electrical apprenticeship (essential).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Minimum 3 years' Facilities Maintenance experience.
• Experience in maintenance, testing and fault finding.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and safe working practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive problem solving and client rapport.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Flexible attitude to supporting other properties; cleanroom experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales.
• Supervising visiting subcontractors, including Health & Safety, permits, small works and escort duties.
• Maintaining excellent relationships with onsite clients.
• Completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Supporting other team members and assisting across the wider property portfolio when required.
• Working safely and following all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Attending training and appraisal activities as required.

Location: Cardiff

4 on, 4 off shift pattern rotating days & nights

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Cardiff.

This role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights for example, 4 day shifts, 4 days off, followed by 4 night shifts.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong facilities maintenance experience, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently across a busy site.

The Role

As an Electrical Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and completing all relevant paperwork and reports.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in maintenance, testing and fault finding.

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent rapport-building skills with clients, colleagues and third parties.

• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and within required timescales.

• A flexible attitude to assisting at other properties within the portfolio.

• Cleanroom experience is desirable, but not essential.
