Job summary

OBR Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer in South Yorkshire. You will maintain and repair production and plant equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, reliable operation and contributing to continuous improvement.

The role involves preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding on motors and PLC-controlled systems, and close collaboration with mechanical engineers and production teams. Ongoing training and progression are available.

Qualifications

recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
NVQ Level 3 / HNC or HND in electrical engineering.
Strong fault-finding skills on automated machinery and production equipment.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
Diagnose faults and repair to minimise downtime.
Fault find on motors, drives, control panels and sensors.
Work with PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure health & safety procedures.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to keep the site running smoothly.
