Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Chemical Manufacturing Industry

£20 - £23 p/h

This is an opportunity to work for a leading UK chemical manufacturer of specialty industrial chemicals distributed globally. With development on offer through the shadowing of the Chief Electrical Engineer, the right candidate will learn from experienced engineers whilst gaining industry experience. This opportunity will appeal to a candidate looking to gain knowledge and experience from skilled engineers and take the next step to becoming an experienced Electrical Engineer.

Role Description

  • To shadow the Chief Electrical Engineer, performing tasks under his instruction.
  • Maintenance on a variety of Electrical Equipment.
  • Working with motors, disconnecting, rewiring, etc.
  • Working with cables, glanding, terminating, and running them.
  • Providing both PPM and Reactive maintenance.
  • Panel work.
  • Keep an open mind and show a clear attitude to learn from colleagues.
  • Show initiative when working with the Chief Electrical Engineer, ensuring he is helped with his tasks when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Electrical apprenticeship, recently completed.
  • Industry experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
