Job summary

Stirling Warrington is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Rotherham. The role is hands-on, covering electrical systems, machinery and production equipment with responsibilities for breakdowns, fault finding and preventative maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.

The role involves electrical fault finding and repairs, planned maintenance, working with 3-phase motors and VSDs, PLC fault finding, and close collaboration with production

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification or relevant experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PLC control systems.
• Experience with motors and drives.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and proactive approach.
• Mechanical maintenance experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Planned preventative maintenance.
• Working with 3-phase motors and variable speed drives.
• Fault finding on PLC control systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing plant and machinery.
• Working closely with production teams.
• Identifying ways to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Completing maintenance records and paperwork.
