Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Building Maintenance Engineer.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and complete documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Fault find and diagnose issues in electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
  • Conduct minor installations and general building tasks.
  • Complete job reports and maintenance logs.
  • Respond to emergency calls as required.

Electrical Building Maintenance Engineer

Package : £40-45,000 PA / 45 hours / 7am-6pm ( 8am-5pm on site ) / 22 + 8 days holiday / Life Assurance / Van with fuel card / Pension

We have been established for over 40 years and form part of a larger group . We have a west Midlands based M&E business, however, we have engineers across the UK who specialise in the Commercial Gas, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Fire & Security . We have built a strong client base over the years which include NHS, Care homes, Retailers & Government Buildings.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Building Maintenance Engineer in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems across a range of building types (offices, commercial buildings, public sector sites).
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations at all times.
  • Conduct general building services tasks (minor plumbing, fabric repairs, emergency lighting checks, fire alarm testing, etc.).
  • Carry out minor installation works and upgrades.
  • Complete job reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs as part of a rota (if applicable).
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other engineers to ensure high standards of customer service and safety are maintained.
