A leading global brand in building products is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to diagnose faults and perform maintenance in an automated and heavy industrial site. The role requires a strong electrical background and experience in fast-paced environments. Ideal candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. This position offers a competitive salary of £50,000 per annum and various benefits including 21 days holiday and pension contributions.

Overview

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newbury
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Panama

We're not looking for someone to monitor machines—we need an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who thrives on fault finding, problem solving and hands-on electrical work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on automated production equipment
  • Electrical maintenance on motors, sensors, relays, control panels and PLCs
  • Supporting plant upgrades and installation of new machinery
  • Conducting both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Working closely with mechanical and multi-skilled teams
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety in a fast-paced, heavy-duty environment
Qualifications
  • Strong electrical background—experience in automated or FMCG environments ideal
  • Experience working in heavy industry environments
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
  • PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens/Allen Bradley) desirable
  • 18th Edition qualification highly desirable
  • Positive attitude and hands-on mindset
