Part-Time Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

Location: Driffield, YO25
Pay: £24000 per annum + Pension, Wellness App & Employee Benefit Scheme
Hours: 22.5 per week (Mon–Wed/Wed–Fri, 8:30am–4:15pm on rotating basis)

We're working with a leading food manufacturing business in Driffield to recruit a part-time Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong hands-on approach and a solid track record in fast-paced production environments.

If you're experienced in electrical systems and thrive in a setting where no two days are the same, this is a fantastic opportunity for flexible, long-term work.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems across all production and factory equipment.
  • Conduct reactive fault-finding and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve breakdowns quickly.
  • Help train production staff in basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety and operational standards.
  • Contribute ideas for efficiency and system improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Electrical engineering background with practical experience in manufacturing (ideally food or FMCG).
  • Proven ability to fault-find and repair under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and factory procedures.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small, focused team.
  • Comfortable with rotating part-time hours and working on bank holidays.

Working Pattern:

  • Week 1: Mon–Wed, 8:30am–4:15pm
  • Week 2: Wed–Fri, 8:30am–4:15pm
  • 22.5 hours per week on rotation
  • Includes bank holidays.
