Electrical Maintenance Engineer– Commercial Office Building – Reading, Berkshire– £41,000 Per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in Reading. CBW is currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer to be based at a commercial building in Reading, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified electrical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance and be able to turn their hand to a variety of maintenance tasks.

He or she will be required to carry out electrical or mechanical planned and reactive maintenance across this large static site. Working with the maintenance team on site. He or she will be required to have an understanding/hands-on experience of the below. Package & Hours of Work

• Up to £41,000
• Monday to Friday – 07:00 am – 16:00 pm or 10:00 am – 19:00 pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical PPM's and reactive maintenance
• Lighting – lamp changes, ballast changes, Simmtronic/Phillips lighting
• Emergency light testing
• Power distribution
• Electrical fault-finding
• Small works – new sockets, new lights, new circuits
• Transformers
• Star Delta Starters
• Minor installations
• Escort specialist subcontractors

• Ensure that the contract efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.

• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
• Maintain informal communications with client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
• Remain flexible regarding site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.

Requirements

• Electrical qualified level 2 & 3 (C&G, NVQ etc) with 18th Edition
• Experience working in a large commercial building
• Ability to provide copies of trade certificates (Essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer skills
