The successful candidate will manage various maintenance tasks, oversee a team of engineers, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform lighting installations, fault-finding, lamp replacements, and emergency lighting testing.
• Monitor BMS systems and carry out electrical maintenance.
• Perform plumbing tasks and maintain log books.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Southampton - Commercial Building - Temp to perm - Immediate start - Up to £25p/h

CBW Staffing Solutions is offering an exciting opportunity to work for an FM service provider in a commercial property in Southampton, alongside a team of 5 Engineers on site. We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for a temp to perm contract. The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a proven track record in building maintenance. The company offers an hourly rate of up to £25p/h.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (small installations, fault-finding, lamp replacements, etc.)
• Emergency lighting testing
• Control panels
• Changing ballasts
• BMS system monitoring (e.g., hot & cold)
• Carrying out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintaining and updating log books
• Plumbing tasks such as unblocking toilets
• Pumps and motors

Hours of Work / Shift Pattern / Rates

• 8 am - 5 pm
• Temp to perm contract
• Monday - Friday
• £25 per hour
• Immediate start

Requirements

• Electrically qualified
• City & Guilds Level 3
• Proven experience in building maintenance
• Good leadership and management skills
• Experience with safe systems of work procedures (PTW, RAMS)
• Knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally
• Proven IT skills, including Microsoft Office
