Job summary

A leading retail company in Pontefract is seeking Level 3 Apprentice trained Electrical Maintenance Engineers to maintain and repair a wide range of warehouse machinery. The ideal candidates will have experience in fault-finding and preventative maintenance, working with PLC systems, and have excellent communication skills. This role offers a competitive salary of £20.69 per hour plus bonuses and requires working a 42-hour shift rotation including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Salary £20.69 per hour, plus night shift premium (~£47,500 per annum)

Comprehensive bonus scheme and overtime opportunities

About the role

Our Maintenance Engineers play a pivotal role in ensuring that the huge range of warehouse machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired as required to ensure the operation runs smoothly, implementing management instruction with regard to all aspects of the role and ensure awareness of Health and Safety, working in a specialist field.

We're looking for Level 3, Apprentice trained Electrical Maintenance Engineers with experience and knowledge of:

  • Fault‑finding and diagnosis on a range of PLC controlled equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on a range of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and robots in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
  • Analysis and resolution of Electrical and Mechanical faults and repairs
  • Conducting regular inspections whilst assisting in the completion and review of risk assessments for the department
  • ASI and Profibus systems

The role will require the successful candidate to work at heights of up to 20m with appropriate training. You'll also have excellent communication skills and be PC literate.
