Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Gillingham

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a rotating 3-shift pattern. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a manufacturing environment, maintaining and improving production machinery and site facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical and mechanical servicing, repairs, installations, and testing.
  • Maintain and improve production machinery, including plastic extrusion and printing equipment.
  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose issues, and carry out effective repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
  • Ensure all electrical installations adhere to safe working practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • A relevant electrical qualification and/or apprenticeship.
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a methodical approach.
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly to technical challenges.
