Job Title: Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer

Due to strong business growth, a global manufacturing business supplying high-quality products for the aerospace and defence sectors is seeking to appoint an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their skilled team of 16 Maintenance Engineers.

The site in Leeds spans over 200,000 sq feet and features superb manufacturing facilities ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on plant and machinery, adhering to PPM / TPM schedules.
• Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance for equipment such as CNC milling machines, EDM, electronic robots, hydraulic robots, wax injection moulding machines, casting furnaces, compressors, automated systems, lighting, and inspection equipment.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize machine downtime.
• Replace or repair electrical and electronic components, switches, proximity and limit switches, and safety guards.
• Install and commission new equipment.
• Fault find on PLC systems and interrogate to trace faults.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure correct ordering.
• Identify process deficiencies and develop continuous improvement solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Apprentice-trained or time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
• Trained according to IEE Wiring Regulations (17th or 18th edition).
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
• Experience with PLC fault diagnosis, repair, and programming.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Preferably from a heavy manufacturing background.

• Salary up to £44,000, paid weekly.
• Rotating 3-shift pattern, 40 hours per week.
