Job summary

A leading engineering firm is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the Production Department with maintenance and technical advice. The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. This position involves developing new processes and maintaining bespoke machinery. A flexible approach to work and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC Control and Variable Speed Motor Controllers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Production Department with maintenance and technical advice.
  • Develop new equipment and processes.
  • Perform planned maintenance on bespoke machinery.

Job Description:

  • Skilled and enthusiastic people to join us as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Support the Production Department throughout the provision of planned and daily maintenance, and technical advice on a range of bespoke machinery.
  • The development of new equipment and processes as well as the maintenance of Company properties also form part of the overall departmental responsibilities.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition qualification preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience of working in an Electrical Engineer capacity in a manufacturing environment, and proficiency in PLC Control and Variable Speed Motor Controllers.
  • The ability to use your own initiative to solve problems, and to challenge the ‘status quo’.
  • A self-motivated attitude and a proven commitment to seeing a job through to its conclusion to maintain production.
  • A flexible approach to your work, in terms of production and maintenance demands as well as continuous improvement methods.
