Electrical Maintenance Engineer - RAF Marham

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to carry out PPM and Reactive activities in accordance with contractual agreements at RAF Marham.

Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain close liaison with the Engineering Team, Contract Delivery Manager, and Engineering Manager.
  • Attend all allocated internal/external training courses.
  • Complete SFG20/HTM PPMs, reactive and proactive tasks, and update the CAFM system via PDA to meet contractual obligations.
  • Ensure daily checks are completed; repair or report defects using the helpdesk or reactive works ticketing system via PDA.
  • Maintain accurate records for both PPM and reactive works.
  • Ensure electrical engineering standards are maintained to maximize efficient operation and reliability of plant and systems.
  • Report accidents and near misses to line managers.
  • Supervise ongoing works, special task requests, and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Record all statutory inspections and electrical work accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Attend out-of-hours calls when required and provide site cover on planned event days.
  • Monitor and control third-party contractors, including performance and standards, and conduct internal audits with the Contract Delivery Manager/Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off, work quality is inspected, and recommendations are escalated.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
  • Operate and troubleshoot building systems such as BMS, electrical monitoring, air handling/conditioning, water services, fire detection, AC/DC systems, controls, switchgear, and medical equipment.

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation.
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection certification preferred) or 2330 Levels 2 & 3.
  • Basic plumbing skills.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Experience in basic fabric reactive repairs and knowledge of building fabric.
  • Understanding of health and safety obligations related to maintenance activities.
  • Willingness to work out of hours and participate in a call-out rota.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
