Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for an FMCG environment. The role is based in Cambridge, supporting a Grimsby-based client delivering high-quality products across the UK. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure smooth production and minimal downtime.

You will diagnose faults, install and commission new equipment, and drive continuous improvement while strictly adhering to safety standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in the FMCG industry, you'll handle the upkeep and repair of machinery to keep production running smoothly. Based in Cambridge, your work will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and minimising downtime.

Description

Duties will include:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

Profile

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer should have:

• A recognised qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience working in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, and fault-finding techniques.
• An understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Job Offer

4 on 4 off shift pattern. 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am.

• Hourly rate of £23.63 based on a 42.5 hour work week, totalling £52,222 annually.
• No call-outs required.
• Bonus scheme of £1200 per year (paid quarterly)
