Job description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Market Deeping, Lincs / near Peterborough

Salary: 43k to 44k plus overtime

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shift Hours: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with mechanical skills (70/30 split). You will be responsible for PPM and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing plant. Your duties include overseeing maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and equipment installations, while ensuring safety compliance and company policies. You will also develop maintenance strategies, manage budgets, and promote continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Part of the Maintenance Team: Ensure team has the skills and resources needed for effective maintenance.
  2. Develop and Implement Maintenance Strategies: Create preventative maintenance programs, set schedules, and optimize equipment performance to minimize downtime.
  3. Ensure Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  4. Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions, coordinating with other departments as needed.
  5. Contractor Management: Oversee contractors on site, ensuring adherence to safety and company standards.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reduce costs.
