Job description

I am excited to partner with a leading manufacturer in Fort William who have an immediate vacancy for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their site. The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will lead a small team responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance on site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer join a long established company offering job security and an attractive salary and benefits package. Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the planned preventative maintenance of the engineering plant, machinery and building.
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out fault finding and diagnostics ensuring equipment is in working order.
  • Lead the engineering team and apprentices in the section.
  • Support the engineering team in new equipment installations, providing long-term maintenance input.
  • Lead and support engineering maintenance projects across the site.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
  • The successful candidate will ideally hold a HNC qualification or above in electrical engineering although a Level 3 with strong electrical engineering knowledge and skills will be considered.
  • Previous experience within a supervisory position.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

  • Day shift Monday to Friday (7.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday).
  • Responsibility payment of £3,150 for providing 24-hour engineering support.
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
