The role primarily involves reacting to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and minimizing downtime.

Who this job would suit:
This role is ideal for a proactive and adaptable maintenance engineer with strong electro-mechanical skills and a background in manufacturing. The candidate should have 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, along with suitable electrical qualifications such as NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline and a wiring regs certificate (17th edition or newer).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance on factory machinery to reduce downtime
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Conduct routine electrical inspections in line with regulatory standards
  • Install, test, and commission new equipment as needed
  • Promote safe working practices and support continuous improvement initiatives

This is a rewarding package. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £51k including shift allowance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, income protection, and total pension contributions of up to 18%, among other benefits.
