Job description

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a varied role within the manufacturing sector? This position requires experience within maintenance and installations.

The Job:

• Cover production needs regarding engineering issues and breakdowns.
• Conduct routine test and inspection of electrical systems and portable appliances.
• Undertake maintenance activities in compliance with ISO and customer specifications.
• Reduce maintenance costs where possible and use PPM to reduce unplanned maintenance.
• Work as part of the group maintenance team covering four sites.
• Assist Engineering Manager with ongoing and new projects.
• Ability to participate in mechanical maintenance work as and when necessary.
• Work as part of a team and optimise company performance and reduce downtime where possible.

About You:

• An experienced electrical maintenance engineer with a mechanical aptitude.
• Experience of panel building and installation work.
• Confident and able to be part of an out-of-hours rota for on-call maintenance.
• PLC literate, with the competency to complete PPM schedules.
• Experience of fixed wire testing and instrumentation.
• Prepared to be part of the on-call team 1 week in every five.
