Job summary

TAY Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Fully Qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their busy team in Bridgend. The role involves commercial and industrial installations across South Wales, with a company van and mobile provided. A clean driving licence is required and a 40-hour week with standby rota.

Salary ranges £40,000–£50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus overtime and benefits. Applicants should be able to pass CRB/NVVP3 checks.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Regulations (18.3 preferred)
• City & Guilds Test and Inspection or similar
• Must have the ability to install and fault find Commercial & Industrial installations.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete installation and repair tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company policies.
• Document all maintenance activities clearly and accurately for record-keeping purposes.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople or contractors as required to complete projects on time.

Ideally you will be located close to Bridgend and you will have a clean driving licence as the client will be providing a company van and phone. Work will be exclusively on commercial premises throughout the South Wales as our client has many prestigious contracts in the region.

Must have the ability to install and fault find Commercial & Industrial installations.

Overview & Requirements

• Subject to passing CRB check/NVVP3 check which our client will submit
• Need a clean Driving Licence
• Company vehicle and Mobile phone provided
• 40 hour week
• Call out rota including standby fee plus overtime.

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
