£56,000 per annum, including shift premium, plus paid overtime

The Company

An established manufacturing business is looking for a Shift Technician to support plant reliability and keep production running efficiently. Working closely with production and maintenance colleagues, you will join an environment where safety, quality and continuous improvement are central to daily operations.

Working Hours

Rotating 12-hour shifts:

• Four consecutive day shifts, 6am–6pm.
• Four days off.
• Four consecutive night shifts, 6pm–6am.

Job Description

As a Shift Technician, you will provide hands‑on engineering support to production, responding to equipment issues, reducing downtime and helping maximise machine availability.

• Diagnosing faults and completing timely, effective repairs.
• Supporting the safe and efficient running of plant equipment.
• Escalating significant concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
• Contributing to improvements in productivity, quality and equipment reliability.

The Shift Technician will also contribute to daily team meetings and help coordinate work where required, keeping communication clear across departments.
