A well-established M&E contractor in Wigan is seeking an Electrical Maintenance & Small Works Manager. This role involves managing engineers and subcontractors while ensuring compliance and high standards across various projects. The ideal candidate will have an electrical trade background, supervisory experience, and strong IT skills. Position: Electrical Maintenance & Small Works Manager
Location: Wigan
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance and Small Works Manager to join a well-established M&E, Compliance, and Maintenance contractor based in Wigan. This family-run business delivers maintenance and small planned works across retail and commercial sectors.
You’ll play a pivotal role in managing engineers and subcontractors, ensuring quality and compliance across a variety of projects, and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day scheduling and supervision of engineers and subcontractors
Ensuring health and safety compliance at all job sites
Reviewing and approving RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
Handling customer enquiries and providing effective solutions
Attending client meetings, assessing work, and preparing estimates/quotes
Monitoring job progress, budgets, and quality standards
Working closely with the Contracts Support team
Work split:
60% office-based
40% site-based
What We’re Looking For:
Electrical trade background or skilled building services experience
Supervisory experience in a similar M&E/maintenance role
Strong IT and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
