We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Machines Engineer to join our team in the UK (Derby or Solihull preferred, Bristol possible).
Our Electrical and Electronics team is part of E24S (Electrical, Electronics, Systems, Software and System Security) and supports all our operating sectors of Civil Aerospace, Defence, and Power Systems.
Our current activities are focused heavily on electrification of products across the company’s main businesses, in particular developing electrical power generation, power conversion, energy storage, and electrical power distribution solutions. Projects vary in scope but include TRL1-6 technology development and capability acquisition programmes which may involve concept architecture studies, modelling, simulation, rig prototype development and rig testing, up to full scale product demonstrators, and moving into TRL6+ new product introduction programmes with associated validation and certification work.

In this exciting role, you will require in-depth knowledge of various types of electrical rotating machines, design and analysis, design for manufacture and assembly, verification and manufacturing processes are important to the role as is utilisation of electrical machine modelling and design tools.
