Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in Birmingham is seeking an Electrical Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across Electrical courses. The role combines industry insight with academic delivery to support student progression and employability.

You will hold an Electrical qualification, have substantial industry experience, and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. The position is permanent with a generous salary (£35,000-£45,000) and 45 days leave, plus pension and development

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical.
• Extensive industry experience in the Electrical sector.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Electrical courses.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities to support student progression and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with current industry standards.
• Support students in developing their technical skills and employability prospects.
• Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
• Develop employer partnerships to enhance student learning opportunities and industry engagement.
