Job summary

A further education college in the Bristol area is seeking a full-time, permanent Electrical Lecturer/Assessor to join the Construction Apprenticeships team. You will manage a caseload of electrical apprentices, guiding them from initial screening and induction through to End Point Assessment (AM2S).

You will deliver and assess high-quality workplace learning, provide coaching and feedback, and monitor progress against funding and audit requirements using tracking software such as Smart

Qualifications

  • Relevant industry qualifications in Electrotechnical Installations with up-to-date sector knowledge.
  • Experience in delivering or assessing apprenticeships, with a solid understanding of quality assurance processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (such as PGCE, AET, CAVA, or TAQA), or a clear willingness to work towards one.

Electrical Lecturer / Assessor - Apprenticeships

Role Overview A further education college in the Bristol area is seeking a full-time, permanent Electrical Lecturer/Assessor to join the Construction Apprenticeships team. This role involves managing a caseload of electrical apprentices, guiding them from initial screening and induction through to successful completion and End Point Assessment (AM2S).

Key Responsibilities

Salary & Benefits
  • FTE Salary: Up to 34,044 per annum, plus up to 5,000 annual market supplement (dependent on qualifications and experience).

  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week, permanent contract.

  • Pension: Access to the Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) with employer contributions exceeding 23%.

  • Annual Leave: Generous holiday entitlement including academic leave days, bank holidays, and a two-week Christmas shutdown period.
