Job summary

Babcock, a leader in defence services, is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Technician to support HMNB Clyde Faslane. You will calibrate, test and fault-find a range of TMDE, ensuring safety, quality and environmental compliance while delivering tasks to schedule.

This permanent, full-time role requires working on site at Faslane with opportunities to contribute to critical defence capability and career development within a large UK employer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience fault-finding, testing and maintaining electrical or electronic systems within an engineering environment.
• Experience working to strict safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to deliver technical tasks and work packages to agreed timescales and performance targets.
• Experience producing, interpreting or following technical documentation, procedures and inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out calibration, adjustment, fault-finding and repair activities on a wide range of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment.
• Delivering technical work packages safely, accurately and in line with quality, cost and schedule requirements.
• Completing risk assessments and applying safety, quality and environmental standards across all activities.
• Developing and maintaining calibration procedures, checklists and technical documentation for new and existing equipment.
• Performing electrical testing and inspection activities to maintain equipment compliance, reliability and operational readiness.
