Overview

Do you want to use your skills to inspire the next generation of electricians? We're a leading national training provider, supporting thousands of learners and employers across more than 100 locations. With a strong reputation for quality, we're expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Electrical Tutor to deliver high-quality training to apprentices and learners.

As an Electrical Tutor, you'll bring your industry experience into both the classroom and workshop, delivering a mix of theory and practical training up to Level 3. This is a rewarding role where you'll help learners gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in their careers.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching electrical installation theory and practice in line with awarding body standards.
  • Supporting apprentices through Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications (City & Guilds / EAL).
  • Assessing and giving constructive feedback on coursework.
  • Monitoring progress, attendance, and achievement while maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing pastoral support and safeguarding learners' wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, employers, and external bodies to ensure the highest standards of training delivery.
  • Staying up to date with industry developments to keep your teaching relevant and current.
Essential requirements
  • Level 3 Electrical technical qualification (or equivalent).
  • GCSE/O Level Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Teaching experience in electrical installations, including blended/remote delivery.
  • A recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Current industry knowledge with verifiable post-qualification experience.
  • Strong IT, presentation, and communication skills.
Desirable (not essential)
  • Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Assessor and/or internal verifier qualifications (A1/TAQA / V1).
  • Experience within the contracting or building services sector.
