Lecturer in Electrical Installation

Location: Merseyside, North West

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £33,000 - £41,108 + potential market supplement (DOE)

Inspire the next generation of electricians at an Ofsted Outstanding college. Are you an experienced electrical professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a passionate Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our award-winning Building Services Team.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or a skilled electrician eager to transition into education, we want to hear from you. You'll deliver engaging lessons to learners up to Level 3, including 16-18-year-olds, apprentices, and adults—helping them gain the skills they need to succeed in the industry.

What you'll do:

1. Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in electrical installation
2. Support and inspire students to reach their full potential
3. Contribute to course development and curriculum innovation
4. Manage classroom behaviour and student progress
5. Be involved in enrolment, attendance tracking, and learner feedback

What we're looking for:

• Relevant Level 3 vocational qualification in electrical installation
• Recent industry experience
• PGCE or willingness to work towards one
• A passion for teaching and student success

Desirable:

• Teaching experience in FE
• Assessment or quality assurance experience
• In-depth subject knowledge
