Job summary

Vision Talent Solutions is recruiting an Electrical Installation Teacher or Trainee Teacher for a well-established FE college in Mansfield. You will deliver engaging theory and practical sessions to learners aged 16+, helping them develop technical skills and industry awareness.

We welcome experienced Electrical Installation lecturers or qualified electricians looking to start a teaching career. A teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one is required, with DBS checks and a commitment

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent is required.
Experience in Electrical Installation within the industry is required.
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching and practical training in Electrical Installation.
Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with awarding body and college requirements.
Support learners in developing electrical knowledge, practical competencies and employability skills.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment outcomes and learner development.
Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes learner success.
Support learners in achieving their qualifications and progressing into further study or employment.
Promote and maintain safe working practices within workshop and classroom environments.
Assist learners in building portfolios of evidence where required.
Contribute positively to the wider curriculum and departmental activities.
