Job summary

CJS Recruitment Ltd in West London is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver high-quality practical and theory-based training within a Further Education college. You'll draw on industry experience to develop learners' technical knowledge and hands-on competence for careers in electrical installation and building services.

Both full-time and part-time options are available, with a focus on safe workshop delivery, lesson planning and assessment of learner progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach electrical installation in FE settings.
• Experience delivering City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC or related qualifications is advantageous.
• Proven ability to plan lessons, assess learners and deliver theory and practical training.
• Commitment to safeguarding and learner welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging electrical installation lessons.
• Deliver practical workshop-based and classroom teaching.
• Demonstrate safe and industry-standard installation techniques.
• Teach relevant electrical installation principles and practices.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and practical activities.
• Assess practical and written learner work.
• Provide constructive feedback and support learner development.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement.
• Maintain accurate learner and assessment records.
• Support learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications.
• Prepare learners for practical assessments and industry requirements.
• Maintain safe and compliant workshop environments.
• Promote safe working practices and electrical regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams.
