Job summary

GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are partnering with a leading family-owned business in Tewkesbury to recruit an Electrical Installation & Test Engineer. You will be hands-on across installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of site electrical systems and production equipment.

You will diagnose faults, work with minimal supervision and ensure safety compliance. The role suits someone with a strong electrical background in manufacturing and a proactive maintenance mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with electrical installation, inspection and testing.
• Experience in a busy manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, inspection and testing across the site.
• Work on single and three-phase installations.
• Carrying out planned maintenance on production equipment and site systems.
• Regular inspections, testing and lubrication to keep machinery safe and reliable.
• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance.
• Fault finding on electrical systems and production equipment.
• Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical plant and machinery.
• Complete annual emergency lighting and electrical distribution testing.
• Ensure installations meet regulations and testing requirements.
• Support electrical projects and installations around the site.
• Keep maintenance, inspection and testing records up to date.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to minimise downtime.
