Job description

Job Description

Xylem is seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer to join our rental team based out of our Nottingham and Anglian facilities to carry out installation of WSS (rental focused) equipment with focus in the Anglian and surrounding areas.

The Electrical Installation Engineer will be responsible for install, commission, service, and repair of 3 phase pumps, motors, and associated control equipment, including but not limited to VFD and Soft start drives. The role covers Monday to Friday 39 hours per week as well as being part of an on-call rota.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Rental Team with temporary installation, repair, and refurbishment of submersible and surface mounted pumping equipment, sewage systems, and treatment plants.
  • As part of a team and lone working supporting a reactive type of work that requires the successful candidate to be quick thinking and adaptable.
  • Isolate, dismantle, and inspect pumping equipment.
  • Install and commission temporary Rental equipment and all associated apparatus.
  • Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions daily.
  • Work in a confined space environment.
  • Driving a company vehicle to the standard required by Xylem Water Solution UK Ltd.
  • To undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the level of the job.
  • Standard hours of work are 39 per week; however, a totally flexible working attitude is necessary to meet the client and business needs. In addition, evening and weekend on-call duties will be necessary on a rotating basis.
