Job summary

Bath College is seeking an enthusiastic lecturer to deliver high-standard teaching and assessment in Electrical disciplines across L1 to L3 programmes. You will collaborate with the Head of School to plan lessons, develop materials, and ensure industry relevance through strong employer engagement.

You will contribute to curriculum development and ensure English, Maths and ICT are embedded in the course, monitoring learner progress and participating in internal quality checks.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Nationally recognised qualification in Electrical discipline (at least Level 3)
• 18th Edition, 2nd Amendment qualification
• TAQA Assessor Award (or willing to work towards)
• Teaching qualification (or willing to work towards)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes in line with examination requirements.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning programmes for L1–L3 in Electrical to meet industry needs and awarding body requirements.
• Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
• Conduct regular assessments including practicals, observations and marking.
• Gather employer/work-placement feedback to ensure learner engagement and satisfaction.
• Lead curriculum review to keep learning innovative and impactful.
• Embed English, Maths and ICT into the curriculum.
• Use ProSuite systems to evidence learning interventions and learner progress.
• Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments with the course team.
• Work with IQA to ensure high-quality internal checks.
