Position: Lecturer in Electrical Installation
Contract: Permanent, full-time role
Location: Newcastle
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on qualification and experience
Teaching Load: 864 hours per year (~23.3 hours/week over 37 weeks)
Additional: Teachers pension, 40 days holidays per year plus bank holidays, free onsite parking

As student numbers grow, we’re supporting a college in Newcastle to expand their Electrical Installation courses. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching, training, and support.
We welcome industry professionals who wish to pass on their experience to apprentices and learners. The College will fund and support relevant teaching qualifications. This role is ideal for those with hands-on industry experience seeking new career paths. Full training and support will be provided by a team that includes former industry workers.
You will deliver practical and theoretical sessions in Electrical Installation, from hands-on workshop training to classroom-based learning. You’ll guide students through topics like AC theory, single and three-phase systems, and the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, helping them develop industry-ready skills.
You will also create engaging lesson plans, assess learner progress, and support students to reach their full potential.
