Job Title: Electrical Installation Lecturer

Location: London

Contract Type: Temporary, Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities Available

Hourly Rate: Up to £42 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our academic team on a temporary basis, with both part-time and full-time roles available. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching in electrical installation, preparing learners for careers in the building services and electrical trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver practical and theoretical teaching in electrical installation up to Level 3 (and potentially Level 4)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess course content in line with awarding body requirements and industry standards
  • Support and guide students through their learning, offering academic and pastoral care
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety in workshop and classroom settings
  • Track student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., Level 3 NVQ, AM2, or equivalent)
  • Industry experience as a qualified electrician
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching in a further education or vocational training environment
  • Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications (e.g., TAQA, A1, V1)
  • Experience delivering apprenticeships or work-based learning
  • Familiarity with blended or digital learning tools
