Southwark Council is seeking an Electrical Inspector to support the EICR programme from their SE1 location. The role involves supervising electrical inspections, testing, remedial works and certification to ensure compliance with current regulations and council standards.

You will review EICRs and electrical certificates, identify unsafe installations and coordinate timely remedial actions with contractors. Strong knowledge of regulations and QA procedures is essential.

Qualificações

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical inspection, testing and certification.
• Knowledge of electrical installation standards and inspection procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Support delivery and oversight of the Council's EICR programme, ensuring inspections, testing, remedial works and certification are completed safely and in accordance with legislation and standards.
• Oversee and monitor contractors undertaking electrical inspection, testing and remedial works.
• Inspect electrical installations and completed works for compliance with regulations and Council requirements.
• Review, validate and monitor Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated documents.
• Identify defective or non-compliant installations and coordinate timely remedial actions.
• Monitor contractor performance and quality of workmanship to meet SLA requirements.
• Carry out site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify standards.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and internal teams to coordinate inspection programmes and certification.
• Provide technical advice on electrical installations, findings, testing requirements and remedial works.
