Job summary

Gee Communications Ltd is expanding its M&E division in Cardiff and seeks an enthusiastic Electrical Improver / Mate to join our established installation teams. You will install electrical cabling (singles and SWA), and cable management systems, and assist with testing and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have rail or commercial experience, ECS card, PTS preferred, IPAF/PASMA preferred, a full UK driving licence, and a drive to learn on the job.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail or commercial environments is required.
• ECS Card held or in progress is desirable.
• PTS certification preferred to enhance on-site safety and access.
• IPAF and PASMA qualifications are preferred for working at height and safe access.
• Full UK driving licence is required for site mobility.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical cabling, including singles and SWA’s.
• Install cable management systems such as metal trunking and conduit.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

Gee Communications are looking to expand our fast-growing M&E division, we are now seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and dynamic Electrical Improver / Mate, to work alongside our longstanding electrical installation teams.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Installation of electrical cabling, to include singles and SWA’s.
• Installation of cable management systems to include metal trunking, metal tray and metal conduits.
• Assist with the testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has the drive and enthusiasm to learn new skills within the Rail industry and provide excellent customer service to our clients. Our ideal Candidate has:

• Experience of working in a rail or commercial environment.
• ECS Card.
• PTS (preferably).
• IPAF and PASMA (preferably).
• Drive and enthusiasm to learn on the job and participate in delivering projects efficiently.
• Full UK driving license (Vehicle provided).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.

Salary

£12.00 – 14.00 p/hour (Plus Overtime Rate).
