Overview

Field Service Engineer - Solar PV Maintenance

Location: Home-based, covering Peterborough and the wider East Anglia area

Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What You'll Do
  • Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on domestic rooftop Solar PV systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults (e.g. meters, inverters, communication issues)
  • Work safely in loft spaces and at height using ladders
  • Communicate clearly with customers and team members about technical issues
  • Keep up to date with best practice and safety standards
What You'll Need
  • Essential
    • Level 2 (2365) electrical qualification or equivalent
    • At least 2 years' electrical installation experience
    • Strong IT skills and ability to use tablets/smartphones for reporting
    • A full, clean driving licence (must be 25+ due to insurance requirements)
  • Desirable
    • Basic testing or installation experience in renewable technologies
    • Previous exposure to Solar PV systems (not essential - training provided)
