Job summary

Barhale is recruiting an Electrical Improver to join our IOS Alliance teams for the Anglian Water AMP8 programme. The role focuses on installing electrical systems at clean water and wastewater sites, under supervision of a fully qualified Electrician.

You will contribute to safety, quality, and timely project delivery, with the potential for greater responsibilities as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Level 1 and/or Level 2 Electrical Installations to gain NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication, both verbal and written.
• Able to work under own initiative, as well as within teams.
• Knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental obligations.
• Desirable: CSCS or ECS cards.

Responsibilities

• A semi-qualified electrician to work with a fully qualified Electrician on industrial projects.
• Experience in industrial installations, including steel containment, power, and ICA wiring; on-the-job learning possible.
• Willing to work away from home for short periods (project & training dependent).
• Keen to meet targets, with overtime when required.
• Uphold company values and safety ethics; develop responsibilities as experience grows.

Who are the IOS Alliance?

Barhale is one of three delivery partners within the Anglian Water Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. IOS is a medium- to high-complexity, capital maintenance and enhancement, Civil and MEICA, design-and-build delivery unit working across Water and Water Recycling to support the successful implementation of the Anglian Water AMP 8 business plan.

Electrical Improver

The Role

The electrical improver will be part of our installation teams working on the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Framework for the Anglian Water AMP 8 Programme.

This role requires electrical equipment to be installed predominantly at Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety standards are always adhered to and that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

• A semi-qualified electrician to work with a fully qualified Electrician on industrial projects
• Experience in industrial installations, including but not limited to steel containment, power, and ICA wiring, telemetry & fault-finding would be beneficial; however, experience will be gained on the job
• Willing to work away from home for short periods (Project & training dependent)
• Keen to fulfil customers' targets, involving overtime when required
• To uphold the company values and safety ethics
• As experience is gained, further responsibilities can be added to your role as confidence grows

Essential:

• Level 1 and/or Level 2 Electrical Installations to gain their NVQ Level 3 qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication, both verbal and written
• Able to work under own initiative, as well as within teams
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental obligations

Desireable:

• Experience in electrical installations associated with the water industry would be beneficial but not essential
• Relevant CSCS or ECS cards (This can be provided)
