Electrical Improver (LV Installations) – London

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Improver ready for a new challenge. With full training provided, this role offers the opportunity to progress to a Laterals Team Leader for LV Installations. Is this the next step in your career?

As an LV Laterals Team Leader at UKPS (part of the Last Mile Group), you’ll manage projects within the M25 and surrounding areas, overseeing multiple sites. This role involves leading a two-person team and collaborating with other Laterals teams. Your expertise will ensure the precise and quality installation of electrical supplies from multi-service distribution boards to apartments.

Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance: Conduct all work safely, adhering to UKPS WIRS & GIRS policies, including risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Technical Excellence: Install, terminate, and test all Laterals to UKPS standards, ensuring high quality and compliance with procedures.
• Team Leadership: Supervise personnel and subcontractors, maintaining safety, workmanship, and performance standards.
• Project Coordination: Manage on-site administration, tools, materials, and communicate delays or issues to the LV Installation Manager.
• Documentation & Communication: Keep accurate records, complete documentation, and communicate effectively with team members and Project Managers.

Experience / Knowledge:

• City and Guilds Elec Improver Level
• Experience working on larger city sites
• Electrical industry experience
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience

Qualifications:

• EUSR or ECS card
• Full UK driving licence
• First aid certification (preferred but not essential)
