Job summary

PRL Site Solutions is seeking an Electrical Installer Assistant to support electricians on UK new build and commercial projects. You will assist with installation, testing, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and project quality plans.

You will update as-built drawings and documentation, maintain safe work practices, work at heights and in confined spaces, and communicate with trades and site teams to keep work flowing. Training available.

Qualifications

• Electrical NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• 1-2 years on new build/commercial projects; EfW/industrial experience a plus.
• Valid CSCS card (Green/Blue); ECS or JIB card helpful.
• Good with hand tools and test equipment (multimeter, etc).
• Read electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Basic fault-finding.
• MS Office for reporting.
• Physical: Fit, able to work at height, in confined spaces, and shifts if needed.

• Quality & Compliance: Ensure work meets design specs, BS 7671 wiring regs, and project quality plan
• Documentation: Help update as-built drawings, test certs, and O&M manuals
• Safety: Full adherence to site HSE, work at height, and permit-to-work rules
• Coordination: Liaise with trades, supervisors, and client teams to keep work flowing
• Progress & Productivity: Hit daily targets, manage materials, and keep workspace tidy

Requirements

• Qualifications: Electrical NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 years on new build/commercial projects. EfW/industrial experience a plus
• Tickets: Valid CSCS card (Green/Blue). ECS or JIB card helpful
• Skills: Good with hand tools and test equipment (multimeter, etc)

Desirable

• EfW/Process experience: Familiarity with turbine, boiler, or emissions control systems
• AutoCAD/Electrical software: Experience reading or creating schematics
• Safety tickets: First Aid, Fire Warrant, Working at Height
• Safety passport (CCNSG, EMSS or equivelant)
