Are you ready to join a team of talented engineers and shape the future of energy infrastructure?

Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Transmission & Distribution team as an Electrical HVAC/HVDC Cable Engineer and work at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the delivery of energy infrastructure projects through long-term partnerships with key clients.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Perform specific and moderate portions of broader assignments, understanding software modeling to develop cable design for offshore and onshore applications.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data, using established cable design procedures aligned with industry standards such as IEC, CIGRE, National Grid, SSE.
  • Develop detailed cable design assignments, including calculations, routing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance planning.
  • Propose solutions to new problems, modifying standard procedures or developing new methods.
  • Identify discrepancies in cable design calculations, ratings, and sizing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates.
  • Complete tasks within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Perform all primary design elements independently.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng).
  • Professional qualification in Electrical Engineering (CEng or working towards it).
  • Experience with software tools like Cymcap, Cableizer, COMSOL for desktop studies and report generation.
  • Understanding of HVAC and HVDC transmission principles and requirements management.
  • Knowledge of power system characteristics.
