Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Transmission & Distribution team as an Electrical HVAC/HVDC Cable Engineer and work at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the delivery of energy infrastructure projects through long-term partnerships with clients.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Perform specific and moderate portions of broader assignments, understanding software modelling to develop cable designs for offshore and onshore applications.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data, using established cable design standards such as IEC, CIGRE, and industry best practices.
• Develop detailed cable design assignments involving calculations, routing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Propose solutions for new problems using modifications of standard procedures or previous methods.
• Identify discrepancies in cable design calculations, ratings, and sizing.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Work within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Complete primary design elements independently.

Qualifications:

• Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng).
• Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng) or working towards it.
• Experience with software tools like Cymcap, Cableizer, COMSOL.
• Understanding of HVAC and HVDC transmission principles.
• Knowledge of power system characteristics.
