Job summary

BD in Winnersh, United Kingdom, is seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer to take ownership of electrical hardware for the infusion product portfolio. You will investigate complex PCBA issues, develop compliant solutions, and support product safety, reliability and lifecycle management.

The role focuses on released products, component obsolescence, fault diagnosis, and controlled design changes, with involvement in new product development using DFT, DFM, and DFA principles.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience in sustaining or post-release engineering for electronic/electro-mechanical products
• Circuit-level fault-finding using schematics and test equipment

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into electrical and electronic issues from initial assessment to closure.
• Diagnose PCBA, circuit, component, test-system, and electro-mechanical faults using schematics, test data, and root-cause analysis.
• Manage component obsolescence through impact assessment, evaluation, risk review, qualification, and implementation.
• Develop controlled engineering changes with justification, verification, risk management, and configuration control.
• Support PCBA manufacturing lines, product transfers, test methods, supplier changes, qualification activities, and process validation.
• Resolve quality, yield, reliability, test, and manufacturing issues with production sites, suppliers, and technical teams.
• Contribute to new product development through design reviews, component selection, verification planning, and DFT/DFM/DFA input.
• Deliver sustaining engineering projects and technical work packages to agreed quality, scope, and delivery requirements.
