Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee electrical installations on construction projects in Randburg, Gauteng. The role demands hands-on leadership, ensuring quality workmanship and strict safety standards on site.

You will supervise electrical crews, coordinate activities with project managers, and manage site progress. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical construction, with at least 5 years of experience and 2+ years in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a valid trade test certificate.
• 5+ years electrical construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of electrical installation methods, codes (SANS 10142), and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of electricians and electrical apprentices on construction sites.
• Ensure all electrical installations are performed according to design specifications, blueprints, and electrical codes.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety toolbox talks.
• Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of electrical scopes of work.
• Coordinate with general contractors, site managers, and other trades to ensure smooth project flow.
• Inspect work performed by the team to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and site progress.
• Order materials and manage on-site inventory.
• Report progress and any challenges to the project manager.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable electrical contracting firm, is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee electrical installations on various construction projects in and around Randburg, Gauteng. This leadership role requires a hands-on individual with a proven ability to manage teams, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain strict safety standards on site. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical crews, coordinating work activities, and liaising with project managers and site engineers. We are looking for a proactive leader with a strong background in electrical construction and a commitment to delivering projects efficiently and safely. This position is field-based, requiring full-time presence on construction sites within the Randburg, Gauteng area and potentially surrounding regions.
