Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (FMCG / Electrical Bias) for Forfar. The role offers £44,000–£46,000 (£52k OTE) with progression, training, overtime, on-call allowance, and site-based benefits.

You’ll maintain and repair production machinery and electrical systems, handle fault finding, and support safe, efficient site operation. A strong electrical background with a mechanical understanding is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Electrical bias with fault finding and repair capabilities on production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant and production equipment.
• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns with fault finding and repairs.
• Perform plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
