The successful applicant will be responsible for preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, responding to emergency breakdowns throughout the plant, and involvement with new design, installation, and movement of existing machines. Responsibilities also include overhaul and repair of machinery, ensuring safety, efficiency, and suitability of machines and equipment on site. Applicants should be highly motivated, self-driven, and able to undertake shift work. The role involves providing prompt electrical diagnosis, repair, and rebuilding of site plant, production equipment, premises, and services, aiming to meet objectives related to cost, quality, and timeliness.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Experience with manufacturing technologies, machinery (including CNC processes), chemical plants, and site/facilities management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, team player, good communication skills.
• Experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of electrical circuitry related to machinery and factory services.
• Experience with Machine Tool Electronics and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of the latest Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Ability to read and interpret circuit and technical drawings.

Key Role Requirements

• Perform duties of a Maintenance Fitter, Electrical.
• Provide electronic expertise for site maintenance activities, including design control and operation of CNC systems on production equipment.
• Maintain record systems, whether in hard copy or digital formats.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, training materials, operating and preventative maintenance manuals.
• Service, repair, and calibrate electronic devices such as CNC machinery, programmable controllers, and electronic gauging equipment.
• Assist in electronic design and fabrication of machinery and test equipment.
• Develop electrical and electronic wiring and control system drawings for plant and machinery.
• Ensure all tasks are completed to high standards, maintaining customer satisfaction and adhering to proper procedures.
