Job summary

A leading electrical recruitment agency is seeking an Electrical Fitter to cover the M&E water framework in Northwest England. Responsibilities include reactive maintenance, servicing, and installation of various electrical components. The ideal candidate will have relevant electrical qualifications, including City & Guilds, and previous experience in PPMs. Attractive perks include overtime opportunities and a van with a fuel card.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
  • 17th or 18th Edition certification is preferred.
  • Experience as a Commercial Electrician doing PPMs is essential.
  • Must have a valid SSSTS and JIB Gold Card.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Conduct fire alarm testing and manage emergency lighting.
  • Install lighting and logic control modules.
  • Carry out general maintenance duties in estates.
  • Install ballasts and inverters in lamps.

Location: Covering the M&E water framework in the Northwest

Type: Temp to perm

Responsibilities
  • Reactive, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Building Management System (BMS)
  • Servicing
  • Fire alarm testing and emergency lighting
  • Lighting and installing logic control modules
  • General maintenance duties in estates
  • Installing ballasts and inverters in lamps
  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices
Desirable qualifications
  • Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in an electrical discipline
  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
  • 17th or 18th Edition
  • Previous experience as a Commercial Electrician doing PPMs is essential
